Crime Awareness

 Please pay special attention to those vacant homes& lots in your neighborhood.  It appears that these thieves are utilizing the vacant homes & lots to dismantle vehicle parts/tires.  

As always, never approach anyone you suspect of doing a crime, just call 9-1-1 and give the best description you can.

 OSHNA's General Membership Meeting is WEDNESDAY, April 25th from 6:30pm through 9pm at the Seminole Heights Garden Center.  This will be the only meeting held on a Wednesday due to unavoidable circumstances.  Doors open at 6:30 and the meeting begins at 7pm.  

Special speaker at this meeting will be the Tampa Police Department to discuss how TPD can help with neighborhood quality-of-life issues.   Have you wondered about possible illegal parking and who to call?  What is the proper procedure for dealing with suspicious people in the neighborhood?  Who should you call in for and who should you not?  If you suspect criminal activity in a nearby home or business, how should you handle that?  When is it better to call TPD rather than City of Tampa Code Enforcement?

On Thursday, December 1st at 9:00 a.m., an ordinance is going before Tampa City Council regarding prostitution and the seizing of the vehicles of those engaging with prostitutes.  You can download and view the 5-page ordinance here.
