Elections are coming up and I'd like to remind everyone that this Thursday is the deadline for nominations. All nominations must be in and accepted by Thursday. I've included Article V of our bylaws below for those interested in reading the detail. However, in summary, this is the pr0cess:
Accepted Nominations for OSHNA Board
As the nomination period progresses, the committee agreed to post the candidates that have accepted nominations for positions on the Executive Board. So far, the following people have accepted:
July 27th General Membership Meeting
Last night we held our July eating meeting. The main course was chicken marsala and vegetarian lasagne from Reservations To Go. Ever since they moved into the area our eating meetings have gotten tastier. There were over 70 people in attendance and folks were enjoying themselves. The pot luck was quite a spread of good food too. Several new members joined that very evening--perhaps due to the incredible cooking.
Election Nomination Period Has Begun
It's that time of year when we begin the election process for the 2010-2011 Executive Board for OSHNA. I will be updating the neighborhood website with information as the process continues. Elections Committee Forming
OSHNA elects an entirely new board of directors each year in October. The bylaws call for the elections committee to form in July and begin the work of managing our elections. The president is responsible for nominating the committee chair to the Board for confirmation. Once confirmed, the chair is then able to select their own committee members and organize the various election activities.
