In today's police report:
Arrest
8221 N. Florida Av
A silent panic alarm went out at the listed location. It was learned that they were robbed with the same MO as 4 previous robberies at the China Garden (2 times), Walgreens, and Family Dollar. A solid perimeter was put in place and rovers were deployed around Nebraska Ave to search nearby motels. Units from Sector C, ROC, D3 ROC, K9 (to include Lt Ward and his bloodhound), Det. Prebich and most of the Sector D units responded . Air Service was not utilized due to the rain. Officer David Miller spotted a suspect(Goody) that matched the description with no shirt and only shorts on at Robson and Nebraska Ave. The subject was a person of interest for the robberies that was found a week earlier by Ofc S O'Neal. The bloodhound tracked a scent from the restaurant to the interstate and the river to Robson and Nebraska. The clothes the subject was wearing could not be found and later it was learned he dumped them in the river. Ofc. R Flannigan found a witness that had seen the suspect earlier wearing the clothes the suspect was wearing during the robbery. Det. Prebich then interviewed the witness, the suspect's girlfriend and then the suspect himself. He built a rapport with the suspect and obtained a full confession for all the robberies he committed. He was transported to booking.

Great work once again by Detective Prebich. We are very lucky to have him and the other officers from TPD working our neighborhood.
