Bail Denied

TBO.com is reporting that Frye had his bail denied.
"Circuit Judge Eric R. Myers refused to release Frye after a hearing today that took less than two minutes to conduct. Myers said based on the charges and Frye's criminal history, that he was a danger to the community."

Update: Sept 2 2009

The following email was sent by Barbara Wolf, Grid 58 Neighborhood Watch coordinator.

-------------
Dear Neighbors,

TPD has shared with me that multiple strategies are in place for the Joseph Frye manhunt.  TPD is working with other law enforcement agencies in a top priority fashion to collaboratively locate and apprehend Frye as quickly as possible.

In a localized effort you will see bulletins posted in our grid and neighboring grids alerting those who may not have access to media such as the transient or the homeless population. In addition the Reverse 911 calls are being activated.  If you are not registered to receive these calls you may do so by calling (813)231-6184. Unpublished and unlisted telephone numbers are not in the database for Reverse 911 so you must call to be included.

A statewide effort is now in place with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.  They have added Frye to the top rotation on the FDLE sexual offender public website.  There are 17 photos that are in the rotation, you may need to select the "show more" tab to see all 17.  If you wish the visit the website:  http://offender.fdle.state.fl.us/offender/homepage.do

I've been asked to request that each of you be alert to anything odd and report it to the police at (813) 231-6139 or dial 911 in case of an emergency.  This is the time to be very aware of locking your homes, cars, and garages.  Please activate your alarms and take extra caution in your daily activities.  Many of you have taken steps to grow our Neighborhood Watch Email list.  It is in all of our best interests to take advantage of this list and communicate often.   If you haven't discussed the N.W. system with your neighbors, please take some time to do so.

I will send out additional emails as I have new information.
