Lake Roberta, one of the 'Crown Jewels' of the neighborhood, has an historic and storied past. Whether a stop over for thirsty cattle and cowboys, playground for the affluent clientele at nearby Lakewood Manor, or a fun place for the children of the city during the Fish-a-Thon of the 1950's.
This once-sparkling crown jewel of the neighborhood has seen it's shares of ups and downs, and is currently in a state of disrepair. The "Friends of Historic Lake Robera" Committee is searching for ideas to restore the lake to her former glory. Be a part of this proud undertaking, and share the results with pride.
In order to help build a photographic history rich with images, the committee is requesting any pictures, video or stories all residents may have in relation to the lake. We will be adding valuable content almost daily, as well as share progress and notes from this undertaking. Please email any pics, ideas or feedback to Damien Baldwin at damien.baldwin@tampabay.rr.com.
