The Lake Roberta Master Planning Committee is pleased to announce that the "Friends of Lake Roberta" t-shirts are now available. The shirts are $15.00 each, and proceeds will be used for continuing improvements to Lake Roberta.
In the last couple of months, the Master Planning Committee has developed ideas for the continuing improvement and overall cleanliness of Lake Roberata. Part of these efforts have included monthly clean-up meets, as well as raising overall awareness of the unique and historical characteristics of this valuable community resource.
In addition to applying for a Tampa Bay Estuary Grant for funding for clean-up and debris removal, the committee is also considering options for permanent clean-up, restoration and conservation of Lake Roberta. Part of the efforts have included letters to University of South Florida Geology Dept to study the physical characteristics of the Lake and it's relationship to the Hillsborough river and Tampa Bay system, as well as involvement of Parks and Recreation Dept to review options toe
