Welcome to the new site. There are a number of improvements here, many of which are seen by the folks that input information. (Let's encourage them to input MORE now that I've made it EASIER.)
Pay attention to the search feature. It isn't Google but it'll make finding information a lot easier.
Also worth a mention is the taxonomy features. The bar at the bottom of news stories with words like "Library" or "Outreach". These classify the post. If you click on this word you will get a list of the most recent news stories under that heading. You can now read on specific topics if you like.
If you know what an "RSS Feed" is rejoice in that feature being added to the website. Now your favorite new feed program will get OSHNA news feeds.
Usernames -- your username from the prior website did not transfer over. Sorry. The two systems are too different. Please create a new one. If you happen to lose your password, there is a password recovery system built in. Just be sure to keep your email address up to date as it is critical to that system. You will need a username to enter any information into the website, including this forum, nominations, and comments.
Please feel free to reply with constructive criticism.
Shawn, I previously asked a few days ago where I could find the Frequently asked questions within the new Forum Rules Topic you posted. Will you please answer for all members to find this? Under Topic "New Forum Rules & FAQ". I'm having a difficult time finding those FAQ's? Thank-you for helping me find an answer.
Gail Davis
Shawn,
The website looks great! I hope it is well received (and utilized!) within the community.
Are there any restrictions regarding adding events to the calendar? Would an event need to be pre-approved or would visitors be allowed to add events?
Thank you for spending an obviously ENORMOUS amount of time on this website. You did a great job!
Robin
Robin,
Yes, there is OSHNA policy regarding calendar entries. They must be pre-approved. However, any event that benefits the neighborhood and is non-commercial in nature is nearly always approved. Any board member or committee chair can post to the calendar.
You should send items to me directly or to the committee or board member that is most appropriate. We'll get back with you and explain our reasoning if an item is not accepted.

Shawn,
Where can I read the FAQ's under the Topic: New Forum Rules & FAQ? I can't seem to find those questions on the new site, I only see the rules. Thanks Much, Gail

Hello, will you please answer my simple question? Am I not being respectful to OSHNA asking a question to your posted topic? Your titled topic of: New Forum Rules and FAQ? Where are the FAQ's posted to review? Are there any? Please respond, Thank-You.
Respectfully, Gail Davis
