Seminole Heights Sunday Market

Seminole Heights held its first Sunday Market today.  Greg Barnhill and Tiffany Ferrecchia pulled together an amazing event.  Kudos to those two neighbors.  All three neighborhood associations, OSHNA, SSH, and SESH, sponsored the event, providing funding, printing, power, etc.  OSHNA's booth sat between South Seminole Heights and the Seminole Heights Bicycle club.  What a fun group those folks are. BGOSH, who was the primary producer, wisely placed their booth over by the coffee and baked goods.

OSHNA volunteers Cathy Simon, Linda Rodgers, Ann McDonald, Evan St Ives, and Troy Apiti, patiently answered many questions, gave away free tshirts to members, and kept a smile on their faces despite the temperature.

If you were unable to make this month's market, have no fear!  The market will return thrice more this Spring in March, April, and May.

Shawn,
Thanks for the post on today's market.
It was a great time and a wonderful turnout by the residents of the greater Seminole Heights neighborhood.  There are actually three more markets scheduled - March, April and May.  We hope to see everyone there once more!

The idea for the market is great!  Can you see about more produce vendors especially organic and/or local farmers?  Have you contacted Jordan Farms in Dover?

Mary,

Thanks for your support!
Our scheduled produce vendors cancelled on Thursday and Friday for various reasons.  We are looking to fill that vendor gap.  If you have contact information on Jordan Farms please forward to SundayMorningMarket@Tampabay(dot)rr.com so that we may follow up.
Hope to see you at the next Market on March 14th.
Greg

I truly want to thank the coordinators of the Market this past Sunday.  I was so pleased with the vendors and the turnout that was present.  Although I have lived in the area for 4 years this is the type of event that reminds me why i chose to live in Old Seminole Heights.  This was a true delight of neighbors and friends coming together.  I can't wait until the March event.
