Myron Griffin, Greenspace chair, was interviewed yesterday on Bay News 9 regarding his committee's Seminole Heights Trail project. The interview takes place in Southeast Seminole Heights (SESH) where that association has worked with the city to install a sidewalk up 12th street from MLK to Hillsborough. Myron's vision takes that single stretch of sidewalk in SESH and expands it into a network of sidewalks linking all of Seminole Heights--our shops, parks, the lake, the river, and each other. All three neighborhood associations--Southeast, South, and Old Seminole Heights have written letters of support for this vision.
If you have been tracking the Form Based Zoning efforts of behalf of the city and various Seminole Heights organizations, Myron's map incorporates the mixed-mode travel plans that are part of the new zoning and land use design. He also incorporates existing sidewalk to minimize cost and speed up the project.
