Summer Reading Programs at Your Library
Join us at the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library for summer reading fun, and a chance for free tickets for a Tampa Bay Rays game.
Read Your Way to the Ballpark
Tampa - Hillsborough County Public Library has teamed up with the Tampa Bay Rays to bring you Summer Reading fun! Beginning June 14, pick up a game card from your local library and start keeping track of how many hours you read this summer. As you read your way around the bases, bring your game card back to the library to receive prizes from the Rays. If you make it all the way to home plate, you can receive a free ticket to a Tampa Bay Rays game!
Make a Splash - READ! @ your library®
Summer programs offer opportunities for kids in grades K-5 to explore the world of water and water fun through stories, songs and games while learning about oceans, rivers and lakes and the creatures that live in them. Programs this summer will feature a variety of professional performers - from magicians to musicians to dancers!
Water you Mind - READ! @ your library®
Summer Reading isn’t just for kids and teens - adults can join the fun this summer by registering online at www.hcplc.org to participate and be automatically entered into a drawing to win prizes generously donated by Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Chipotle Mexican Grill and the Tampa Bay Rays. Additionally, the library has teamed up with Southwest Florida Water Management District to present a series of programs in conjunction with the theme Water Your Mind, READ. Information about the adult summer reading program, as well as book recommendations, can be found at www.hcplc.org .
Funding for the summer reading programs is provided by generous donations from the local chapters of the Friends of the Library of Tampa-Hillsborough County, Inc. For more information about this and other FREE programs @ your library®, call (813) 273-3652 or visit www.hcplc.org.
