Home Tour

This committee is responsible for the annual Home Tour fundraising event that promotes and encourages the preservation and restoration of the area known as Seminole Heights while revitalizing a sense of community in a safe and healthy residential neighborhood.

The OSHNA Home Tour is Tampa’s oldest and best attended home tour.  The tours average attendance is between 750 and 1000.  More than 100 volunteers make the tour a success.

In addition to showcasing the homes of Seminole Heights, this is OSHNA's biggest fundraiser of the year. The funds raised from the tour go towards our operating budget, and to direct improvements to the neighborhood.  The funds have allowed for the following:
  • Murals on the Ground Foods Cafe, Smith’s Sandpaper Shop, and The Angry Chair.
  • Upgrades to the playground at the Wayne C. Papy Center,
  • New soccer goals at Henry and Ola Park,
  • New bike rack at the Library,
  • Art benches at Patterson Park,
  • Continued sponsorship of neighborhood activities such as the Summerfest at the Seminole Heights Library, quarterly happy hours, monthly porch parties, and the Holiday Social,
  • Landscape improvement projects at The American Legion, Seminole Heights United Methodist Church, and Hillsborough High School, led by the Greenspace committee.
  • Charitable contributions in the area that benefits our neighbors such as the Center 4 Girls, Frances House, and Pyramid.
